Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

Almost 6 million Americans now live with Alzheimer’s disease. It has been indicated as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Dementia is the most common symptom but others could include but not limited to withdrawal from regular activities, disorientation of place and time, difficulty performing day to day tasks like bathing, memory loss, decreased judgment, misplacing items and all these could place your loved one in danger even in their normal environment.

Parkinson’s:

This is another disease that about 1.5 million are living with. Symptoms can be slow movement, rigidity of limbs of tremor of hands and other body parts. These can translate to difficulty bathing, eating, or moving around as your loved one has been accustomed to.

Multiple Sclerosis:

This is damage to spinal cord that disrupts movement and ability of part of the nervous system to communicate. It is sometimes difficult to predict when and where the body will be incapable of doing functions desired by your loved one.

Post Hospital Care

After discharge from the hospital as a result of illness, injury or surgery, condition of health usually needs help to full recovery and preventing revisit to hospital or worsened conditions. 1st Choice caregivers can provide assistance for any hour of the day, 365 days a year.

Transportation

Some choose not to drive. Others with certain medical condition are not able to drive short term or permanently. Our services to you can also include transportation. We can help with your errands – pick up medications, dry cleaning, buy groceries, appointments to doctors, events around town or just visiting with friends.
